Business Pitch Competition
Students can apply to present their startup or business idea to a panel of judges, including BIU faculty and local entrepreneurs. Presentations are followed by a brief Q&A. Cash prizes and awards are given to top pitches.
Workshops and Skill-Building Sessions
Topics include business planning, financial literacy for startups, marketing strategies, and more. These workshops offer practical knowledge and tools for budding entrepreneurs.
Panel Discussions
Experts discuss current economic trends in Kurdistan, regional entrepreneurship challenges, and strategies for new businesses.
Awards Ceremony
Prizes are awarded to the most promising business ideas, with categories for Best Pitch, Most Innovative Concept, and a Rising Entrepreneur Award.
How to Participate
- Student Registration: Students interested in pitching or attending must register via the BIU Business & Economics Department’s online portal or in person at the department’s office.
- Application for Pitching: Students wanting to pitch a business idea need to submit a brief proposal for review by the Business Forum Committee. Approved pitches will be invited to present on the day of the event.
- Audience Registration: Faculty, community members, and other students can attend as audience members by signing up online. Limited seats are available, so early registration is encouraged.
